Real Wedding - Tasha and Curtis at Punto de Vista, Manuel Antonio
Happy Valentine's Day! I can't think of a better way to celebrate this day of love than with this wedding that was so overflowing with sentiment, laughs and heaps of amore.
Tasha and Curtis are from Alberta, Canada (my old stomping grounds) so it's no wonder we got on like a prairie house on fire. Tasha is a ball of unbridled energy and wanted her wedding day to be just like her - bright and cheery. Her bouquet of orchids and Peruvian lillies fit the bill perfectly.
Coming from a cold, Canadian winterland, it didn't take much prompting for guests to kick off their shoes and dig their toes into the warm sands of Manuel Antonio beach.
The light peach and white chairs were the perfect neutral backdrop for these chair arrangements of sunny Vanda orchids, roses and eucalyptus. Not only did they look beautiful but they smelled divine!
Fans are always a great idea at an outdoor wedding to keep the tropical heat at bay.
Balls of orange roses suspended on an arch draped in yellow chiffon at the end of an aisle of yellow and orange rose petals. Love how the colours pop against the sand!
A running theme of coral was used in all the paper goods and the reception featured linens in grey and peach.
Tasha's mother handmade the napkin rings. So lovely and a great souvenir for the guests.
How better to bring in the colour peach than with actual peaches! Silver vases were filled with hydrangeas, Peruvian lillies, roses, freesias, eucalyptus, peaches and uchuvas (a local fruit).
Wish lanterns were launched at the end of the sunset.
Generations of family were displayed in a place of honour.
Curtis and Tasha and their beloved dog were the cake topper. The cuteness factor was cranked up to 11.
Punto de Vista's air-conditioned ballroom was the perfect spot to dance the night away. Massive props to A Brit & A Blonde for the photos and a ginormous FELICIDADES to Tasha and Curtis!
